Please provide some do's and don'ts on dealing with neutropenia.

Ignore: Some people with chronic neutropenia with ANC between 250 -500, doing pretty well.

Ignore: Wash your hands frequently, avoid sick contacts, and notify doctor immediately if you have a fever.

Ignore: If you feel sick,be sure to have a thermometer ,and monitor your temperature.99.6 or above is fever.

Ignore: Do: Have your white counts checked regularly Don't: Be around sick people.

Ignore: Periodic CBC with differential amd close hematology followup.

Ignore: Avoid contact with sick people when this is chronic problem.

Ignore: Know that you are prone to infections. Avoid exposure to sick people, and wear a mask if needed.

Ignore: When your counts are low, home is the safest place for you.

Ignore: Always wash hands .Avoid crowds . Eat cooked vegetables.

Ignore: Keep good oral hygiene and wash hands. Avoid crowds when you are at your lowest level.

Ignore: Do call your doctor if you have a temperature of 100.3 degrees F or above.
