Please provide some do's and don'ts on dealing with moles.

Ignore: Do become concerned if a mole appears to change in size and color.

Ignore: Please don't ignore any change in size, shape or color of a mole.

Ignore: Don't pick , itch or scratch moles. Have them checked by a dermatologist.

Ignore: Watch for growth, color change, itch or scaling, change in border . Don't pick at it. Get them check.

Ignore: If a mole changes in size, color, or shape, see a dermatologist ASAP to have it verified.

Ignore: Get a dermatologist's evaluation. Use SPF sunblock 40 or greater. Avoid prolonged UV exposure.

Ignore: Monitor the size, shape, color, and edge of the mole. If changing rapidly, get dermatology opinion.

Ignore: Do watch for moles that are changing Do see derm if mole bleeds, changes color, shape, or enlarges.

Ignore: Don't try to shave them off on your own and don't pick at them -- this can cause infection.

Ignore: If a mole changes in size, shape, or color, have it evaluated by your doctor immediately.

If: If you have many moles it is important to ask your dr to examine each one during your annual exams.
