Water intake: Hello, a sore throat may come from having too little daily water intake. As a rough gage, I recommend taking your weight in pounds and dividing by 2. Add ounces of water to that number. I challenge most of my patients and when they do the rough calculation, I see they need to increase their water consumption. The orpharynx needs adequate saliva and nasal mucus to ensure proper function. Good Luck.
