Canker Sores: You may be irritating the sore on the inside of your cheek if it is inflamed and you are chronically biting it. Often times, this may elicit feelings of tingling. Canker sores are generally viral in origin and the one describe may be infected. To be sure, i recommend that you visit your dds or an oral surgeon for an evaluation and/or a biopsy, it they deem it necessary.

Common: Numbness not uncommon to experience around canker sore area. If the sore is in fact a canker sore, it should heal on its own in 10-14 days, typically. If you have not had the area checked, or the sore has been present more than 2 weeks however, please consult a dentist.
