Could be a fracture: Many unexpected falls in ice can create tremendous force at impact. You may have a fracture to your pelvis, sacrum, or even the lower spine. Most of these injuries with an external compression from the side (lateral compression fractures) are inherently stable, so you could stand or walk with discomfort. This injury may take 6 weeks to 3 months to get better. Have an orthopedic surgeon check.
