What happens if you have ruptured duodenum?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Serious: This is a serious injury where the small intestine near the stomach becomes injured or torn. Bruising can cause intestinal blockage. Intestinal leakage is serious and can cause internal life threatening infections. This can be a difficult diagnosis to make too, as it may not show up readily on x-rays or ct scan. May likely require surgical repair.
