Bursitis, Arthritis: If i understand correctly, you have lateral hip pain and groin pain both. Lateral hip pain can be trochanteric bursitis. Groin pain is most classically hip arthritis or a labral tear. You can have both if you alter the way you walk because of the arthritis or a labral tear. Also, another possibility would be femoroacetabular impingement. Because of your age, arthritis is less likely.
