Prolonged period: For your age it is common to have periods occasionally longer than 5-7 days or miss periods as you are in perimenopausal age and you trace with men. Chart for three periods if reoccurs you should see your gyn or f/p to check out. As long as you have regular follow up before. Take care.

Perimenopausal: Could be just approaching menopause or some pathology like fibroids, infection etc.
