A member asked:

I am on kidney dialysis, am i more likely to hepatitis c?

Yes: Hepatitis c is common in dialysis patients due to previous risk factors, but dialysis itself rarely can lead to hepatitis C infection if universal infection precautions are followed.

No: In theory no - however - and there is forever a however - there is blood stuff happening - and some centers resuse your filter (cleaned of course) - so if you have a hep c positive tech playing with your needles or they mix up your filter with your hep c neibhor - then there is trouble!
