A member asked:

Will you really die if you never had a bowel movement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: It would be almost impossible to stop from defecating. You can retain significant amounts of stool and will eat less as the colon fills. In theory you could fill the colon entirely and clog up your intestine and then you would die but it is hard to imagine such a scenario.
