Hernia and ED: There are many causes for ed. The presence of hernia alone is not usually the primary cause for ed. However pain associated with a hernia, especially if severe, may certainly be a contributing component. It is perhaps wise to discuss the entire complex situation with your family physician or surgeon to thoroughly evaluate all potential causes for ed, and potentially consider repair of the hernia.
