Consider repair : Meniscal tears have many subsets. Rare tears may heal spontaneously. However, the majority will not heal and thus are not candidates for repair. For those tears, which do have potential for healing, they should be considered for repair. If a repairable tear is exposed to high loads (sports, work, etc.) it may tear further and become non-repairable. The meniscus is very important: try to save it.
