Hydronephrosis: Hydronephrosis in itself is not cancerous. It means dilatation of the tube from the kidney to the bladder called the ureter. The cause of hydronephrosis can result from internal or external blockage of the ureter . The cause of that obstruction can include cancerous causes among the differential diagnosis. A urologist is probably the best first stop in consultation to find out whats going on.
