Talk to MD: He/she can get a good personal and family history and decide if you and/or your family needs an evaluation by a cancer geneticist. If the risk is elevated, sometimes things can be done to reduce the risk of getting cancer or improve the odds of catching it early. If the risk is the same as that of the general population, it may help aleviate your concerns.
