A member asked:

I quit smoking six months ago but my hyperpigmentation hasn't fade.how much time does it take for hyperpigmentation to fade ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Usually a few months: But it is highly variable. There are other causes of hyperpigmentation, and something else may be going on. If it has not even lightened a bit, i would suggest seeing a dermatologist for evaluation and treatment. Congrats on quitting smoking - the benefits are way more than just cosmetic! stay quit!
