A member asked:

I would like some information about insulin pumps..?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helpful: Insulin pumps are most helpful in type1 diabetics who eat frequently throughout the day, have tendency towards high sugars in the morning due to "dawn phenomenon", and/or are unable to achieve good control despite multiple injections of Insulin daily. The pump provides a "basal" rate of Insulin that can be adjusted throughout the day. You still need to tell it when you eat and how much Insulin to do.
