Third molars: It all depends upon the location of those molars. The extractions may be a simple procedure, or it may involve a more complicated surgery. What you need to do is to see a good oral surgeon who will let you know what exactly will be involved.

Oral surgeon: First step is consultation with oral surgeon. He/she will examine/take xrays/show video/discuss option. If impacted, and incision is made in gums, sometimes bone removed, sometimes tooth sectioned, stitched.
