PRICE: Pain meds, --: Rest, Ice the area, Compression/support bandage; and Elevate the part, Even a massage would be helpful. If no better after 10-14 days or if getting worse, see your PCP or better still an Orthopod to ensure there ia no underlying associated injury. Good Luck.

Depends on what you: Are experiencing? Generally one feels pain/soreness, tenderness, reduced range of motion of the neighboring joints, near the location of the muscle. Rice: rest, ice pack, compression with an ace wrap & elevate in a sling & avoiding the specific motion which hurts; but generally as you get better, after a few days, stretching/massaging exercises help. Pain meds like aleve (naproxen) & muscle relaxer helps.
