Not likely concernin: When you relax, your 'core muscles' relax as well. This causes additional force or pressure to be put on your discs, ligaments and other spinal structures. This can cause irritation, especially if there is any underlying degenerative disease. Stretching and core strengthening exercises should help. B aware of your posture as well if the pain becomes more persistent, further work up is warranted.

Have it evaluatd: Your pain could due to trauma (fracture, sprain, arthritis, inflammation), infection, metabolic conditions (gout), poor circulation, musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality. A thorough history and physical exam and possibly some laboratory and radiology exams are needed to determine the exact cause. The treatment varies depending on the cause.
