Trail mix: If this is your first marathon then you may want to check w/ your family physician prior to committing to it...If all is well try taking some trail mix or banana slices w/ u on your run. We would place water, gatorades, and trail mix 'out' before our long run for the week. You also can buy running " goo" packets which are easier to carry w/ u. @ the marathon stations will have these each mile. Gl!

Consult with Dr.: I would assume that your Dr. should provide nutrition based answers for marathon training and hypoglycemia. You might have to experiment on long runs with different energy chews, drinks, etc. during your run. Make sure that you are satisfied with your routine before undertaking the real marathon
