A member asked:

How can a child have a normal life if he has a hole in his septum (ventricle)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can close or be fixd: A vsd (hole in lower chamber wall) is a common heart defect. A significant number will close spontaneously in the first 2 yrs & those that persist can be closed. Major holes can produce other problems & deserve early open repair.
