Genes obesity: Obesity is the interaction of ones genes and ones environment. Some people have baseline different metabolisms, but those people just have to work on their diet and exercise harder than others. A genetic predisposition to a trait, still requires an interaction with the environment to manifest itself. There is no person who is predetermined to be obese and cannot escape that genetic trait.

Obesity & Genetics.: If you're genetically prone to obesity, you're kinda stuck. You can't change your genetic makeup, but you can minimize its impact through eating properly, exercising regularly, and never smoking. Keep your weight down and don't take being slim for granted, as being lax will let your weight creep right up again.
