Be a friend: Suggest other activities in which you could share. Be kind and cherish what's good in your relationship. Be ready for disappointment and grief -- or perhaps a triumph. But the outcome is uncertain. Ultimately you cannot stop your friend from doing drugs, and exhortations and criticism will not work. You may find help in a support group for friends of addicts.

Addiction is Disease: i appreciate your question. Here are some ideas: 1. Set good boundaries. Do not accept bad behavior. Excuse yourself if your friend is not being appropriate. 2. Be honest. No nagging or complaining. But, you should feel free to tell your friend what you see and what you feel. 3. Remind your friend that there is a solution for the disease of addiction. And then act like you believe it.
