My friend is on medication for seizures. she has over dosed on her pills by a lot a few times before. in the long run will this have damaging results?

Possibly: It depends on the nature of the overdoses and what the medications are. If there are sequelae from the overdose such as hypotension or hypoxia, that can lead to adverse long-term effects on the brain. On the other hand it is also important to control the seizures. It is well known that constant seizures lead to damaging effects.
