Most likely not: Possible due to increased acid secretion in the stomach. Viral gastroenteritis would also cause diarrhea or abdomen cramping pain. If otc medication such as maalox, mintox and Prilosec otc did not help after few days - 1 week, please see your physician. There is a bacteria called h. Pylori which can cause inflammation of the stomach and small intestine. Not treated, it could also cause cancer.
