A member asked:

How long after laparoscopic cholesystectomy is it safe to resume exercise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3-14 days: In general, if all the ports are 5mm, then you can resume activities whenever you're comfortable. If a larger port 10-12 mm was placed or had to be enlarged, then your surgeon will probably restrict you for 7-14 days. Prior to that a 10 pound lifting limit would be in order, and you should avoid mechanical exercise machines. . Good luck.
