No: Fifth disease is a trivial annoyance to children. However, if adults including pregnant mother develop primary disease (never had same one before), fifth disease is a way more serious condition to them. Prolonged arthritis and hydrops fetalis (in newborn) are among the known complications.

None: Even avoidance does not work , because the infection is contagious basically before they break out in the typical rash. Thus it is too late.
