Are there ways that i can prevent my child from contracting fifth disease?

No: Fifth disease is a trivial annoyance to children. However, if adults including pregnant mother develop primary disease (never had same one before), fifth disease is a way more serious condition to them. Prolonged arthritis and hydrops fetalis (in newborn) are among the known complications.
