Yes: All eggs contain only x chromosomes. About half the sperms have x chromosomes ; half have a y chromsome instead. If the x chromosome fertilizes the egg the baby becomes a girl ; if sperm has a y chromosome the baby becomes a boy. The eggs can not possibly influence gender (i guess they could if they had a choice whether to be fertilized by a x or y sperm, but there is no evidence this can happen).
