See your doc: If you want to prevent transmission of herpes to your wife you should take either Famvir or Valtrex (valacyclovir) every day. See your doctor. If you can't afford the medicine most likely your wife will get herpes from you. There is also Acyclovir which is cheap, but it would require taking a pill 3 times a day.
