Sometimes it takes: A while to re-establish ovulation after being on long term birth control. The abdominal pain might be a "good" sign that you actually might be ovulating--it can be called mittelsmerz. You should probably get checked out for a kidney infection also, depending on other symptoms. Definitely talk with your doc, they will need answers to many more questions than we can do on here! test for mthfr!
