A member asked:

I have an organ transplant, am i more susceptible to complications with cytomegalovirus infections?

Yes: Any patient receiving immunosuppressive drugs is more susceptible to acquiring a new CMV infection or reactivating a latent (prior) CMV infection. Speak with your transplant team about your status and what is being done to minimize your risk of getting cmv. Fortunately there are good preventive agents today.
