Not required: You could get tested, but parasites may not be circulation in your blood. Better wait until you are symptomatic.

No, but consider Rx.: Assuming you are not sick / fever / symptomatic, you do not need "testing". However, depending on where you were you may wish to consider "terminal prophylaxis" to treat the potential hypnozoites of plasmidium vivax malaria which may be hiding out in your liver.
