A member asked:

Can sleeping hard cause hand numbness during sleep?

Yes: Sleeping hard means being so deeply asleep that the person is unresponsive to stimuli which would ordinarily cause some postural adjustment or actual awakening. If a wrist is markedly bent or the elbows markedly flexed or the shoulder abducted, this could happen.

Indirectly: The depth of sleep would not directly cause numbness, but during sleep one can hold the wrist in flexion which can then aggravate carpal tunnel syndrome. Don't hesitate to be seen for it.
