18, broke malleolus & tore peronous in oct playing soccer & had surgery. want to go back to the field & wear heels again. what should i do to get back?

Gain strength in leg: After surgery and immobilization, your muscle get weak. Even after the bone is healed, which can take 3-6 months, you will have lingering weakness in the muscles. Please excercise and strengthen your muscles so they are close to the other leg in strength before resuming soccer. If you return too soon you increasee chances of reinjury. Final decision should be with approval of your sureeon.

Physical therapy: Follow all of your surgeons post op instructions and physical therapy is needed.
