Decadron (dexamethasone) drops for new ear tube that's clogged. the drops hurt a lot when i put them in. is there anyway to make it hurt less?why does is hurt so bad?

Giving otic drops: This may be an adverse reaction from the medication itself. Try premedicating with Ibuprofen or tylenol (acetaminophen). I often find that warming up the drops by rolling the bottle between your hands helps with the discomfort/dizziness that can occur with administration of the medication.
