Suspect no ovulation: Your usually regular periods are not in the past 2 months. Regular periods suggest regular ovulation, and irregular periods suggest not ovulating. The heavy dark blood is likely the result of not ovulating, with the extra build up of the uterine lining that results from not ovulating. I would see your doctor for evaluation.
