Can be treated: Food dependent cushings syndrome is believed to result from aberrant nodular adrenal hyperplasia fom hypersensitivity to gip. High cortisol level result from food. Treatment with octreotide dose suppress the cortisol level.

Easy: There is cushings caused by medicine. There is cushings caused by abnormal adrenal or pituitary gland. There is no cushings caused by food.
