A member asked:

How long does it take for chlamydia to go away once you start treatment ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 weeks: You will probably still test positive for a couple of weeks after taking antibiotics. But your symptoms should improve more rapidly than that. Azithromycin and Doxycycline are both highly effective at curing chlamydia, but we still recommend a follow up test in three months due to the risk of reinfection.
