It does not need to: Pain does not have to continue for long after a broken wrist. As in other parts of medicine it hard to answer such a general question. What do you mean by a broken wrist? Broken distal radius? Distal ulna? Scaphoid? Was there an associated dislocation? Ligamentous injury? Nerve injury? Do you suffer from conditions that may delay healing? How was the break treated? And so forth...
