Please answer! what kind of of kidney disease requires strong painkillers that the person who use them be unconscious?

Medication overdose: Kidney stones can cause very, very severe pain & require strong pain medications. However, pain itself does not induce unconsciousness, that would be caused from drug overdose. Either too much was prescribed or taken or patient is very sensitive to what would have been normal dose for others.
