Help please? what is the relation between thyroid, cholestrol, sugar(diabetis)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Too long an answer..: Hi. Can't fit it all here. Complex! Untreated hypothyroidism causes hi LDL. Type 2 diabetes causes small, dense LDL. Both are atherogenic changes (promote atherosclerosis). There is no relationship between type 2 diabetes and hyper- or hypothyroidism. However, type 1 diabetes and Graves' or Hashimoto's are all autoimmune diseases, and they often cluster in the same patients. Live healthy!
