Elastin fibers break: Stretch marks are also termed "striae" and represent places within the dermis of the skin where elastin fibers have fractured or become attenuated. In essence, the stretch mark represents its own "internal skin scar." while endermologie may temporarily improve the appearance of some stretch marks, there is no great single permanent solution for their eradication, unless they are excised.
