Certain a sprain?: If you are certain of your knee 'sprain' diagnosis then rest, ice( first 24-48 hrs.), nsaids ( ibuprofen), and usually bracing is effective( for example: an mcl sprain of knee)w/ crutches / protected weight- bearing.If u are not certain i would suggest seeing an orthopedist for examination, definitive diagnosis and treatment . See and orthopedist: Have it evaluated by an orthopedist. You may need to have it immobilized. In some more sever cases you may need to have surgical repair.
