It isn't: What is dangerous is that for smokers, they are adding to the toxins they already take in, and for non-smokers they are taking in toxins that they didn't plan to take in, just because they are breathing someone elses sidestream smoke. The risks of smoking-related problems with second hand smoke are dramatically less than smoking, but should be zero in non-smokers.
