Gastric bypass: Well, yes and no. I have never seen anyone complain of problems of their mouth after gastric bypass (over 5000 patients). However, I have had many patients say that food tasted differently after having surgery, and that some foods they used to love eating tasted terrible to them after having surgery. So, your taste buds may be affected after surgery.
