A member asked:

What causes abdominal pain after a large overdose of aspirin?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Stomach injury: Both the chemistry of Aspirin and perhaps its effects on the little blood vessels (my sources vary) injury the mucosa of the stomach. You can get yourself bleeding by doing this. If you just took a fistful of Aspirin and are sick now, please phone your personal physician. Please do not take any medication except as advised. A not-so-'large overdose' of Acetaminophen can kill you.
