5 week old baby gets gassy & fussy after eating so simalic sensitive. we were told to switch to nutramigem is this gonna hurt him if nonot the issue?

Nope: Nutramigen is good choice. It can cause very loose stools so do not be upset if that happens. Also put baby on probiotics (culturelle baby is a good example). It does sound like baby is dairy sensitive and nutramigen has no dairy.
