Trust your doctor: There are many medications, and i'm not sure which you are referring to. Your doctor knows what medications will help you. If you need clarification, call him/her. If you are dissatisfied with the advice, please seek a second opinion.

Try it: If you trust your treatment provider and the two of you think that trying medication may be beneficial, why wouldn't it be a good idea? If it doesn't work, then stop.
