Mifepristone: Med and surgical abortion are both safe methods. Med ab is less effective though the farther along you are. The max at most places is 7 weeks, though dinner institutions will go up to 8 weeks gestation. Sometimes with medical abortion, the uterus will be incompletely emptied and will need surgical completion, about 2-5%.
