A member asked:

If you had had a paradoxical reaction to ativan (lorazepam) once. is it guaranteed to happen again if taken or could it just be a one time thing?

Paradoxical reaction: By "paradoxical reaction, " most doctors mean an activated and agitated (rather than calming) response to a medication like ativan (lorazepam). If you've had it once, i would be very reluctant to expose you to it again.
